Weekday batches starting 15th Feb 2024, 9.30 am to 11.30 am
The course is designed to train participants in the methods and art of Sustainability reporting. The course starts with understanding the basic concepts of Sustainability and its practical implications and practices in the industry. Concepts, like Carbon Neutrality, Net Zero and its strategies, greenhouse effect, Green washing, Carbon Trading to name a few.
This is followed by detailing 5 major frameworks. These include GRI, SASB (& Integrated and value reporting) BRSR, Net Zero Standards & UNGC’s SDGs. We discuss the structure and principles of these frameworks that are essential from a reporting point of view. We then continue to our exercise sessions, which are the main learning session. We analyze materiality maps from Sustainability reports (min 3) and participants then practice this under facilitator supervision in a simulated environment. The next major exercise is on developing strategy and writing KPIs, what we call the Practitioner’s scorecard. We use the balance scorecard approach to define strategy and arrive at KPIs, thus making it completely number driven. The last exercise is on Sustainability Assurance. The course then takes the participants through a detailed module on the ‘How’ & ‘What’ of integrating Sustainability Practice in the Company’s work Culture. Sustainability Reports totaling about 17 from different companies from diverse industries are analyzed in the course.
This course would give the participants insights into the challenges and opportunities of Sustainability reporting and learn how to overcome them.
